Capitalism, by its very
nature, begets war. The
conquest of nations for
required or lusted for
resources leads to
aggressive actions and
conquest, subsequently,
occupation.
I
listened to the raving of
the deluded Hillary Clinton
defending the old "stay the
course" and was taken back
to the words of the
President who most drove of
my youth, Lyndon Baines
Johnson.
President
Lyndon
Johnson's Justification for
the Vietnam War
Johns
Hopkins University, April
7,1965
"Viet Nam (Afghanistan) is
far away from this quiet
campus. We have no territory
there, nor do we seek any.
The war is dirty and brutal
and difficult. And some 400
(4000) young men (and
women), born into an America
that is bursting with
opportunity and promise,
have ended their lives, on
Viet-Nam's (Afghanistan's)
steaming soil.
Why must we
take this painful road?
Why must
this Nation hazard its ease,
and its interest, and its
power for the sake of a
people so far away?
We fight
because we must fight if we
are to live in a world where
every country can shape its
own destiny. And only in
such a world will our own
freedom be finally
secure....
The first
reality is that North Viet
Nam (Afghanistan's) has
attacked the independent
nation of South Viet-Nam
(Pakistan). Its object is
total conquest.
Of course,
some of the people of South
Viet-Nam (Afghanistan) are
participating in attack on
their own government. But
trained men and supplies,
orders and arms, flow in a
constant stream from north
to south....Over this war
and all Asia (Arabia) is
another reality: the
deepening shadow of
Communist China
(Terrorism)."
If this
doesn't sound like the
ranting of every hawk in the
congress and elsewhere what
does?
We are
suffering an elitist
Congress of millionaires and
an Presidency that resembles
the weakness of Herbert
Hoover.
Obama is
fulfilling his campaign
promise to "fight the real
war in Afghanistan". We did
not listen then as we were
so hot for change. Well here
we are and we must face his
war mongering once and for
all. Experts say there are
less than 100 Al Qaida
members on the earth and
they have already left
Afghanistan. Pull all troops
out of the Middle East and
place them hand to hand
around the borders of the
USA to keep out the minions
of people who has sworn
blood oaths against us for
the horror we have brought
into their lives.
